FABC - First Aid for Babies and Children  

Introduction:

Designed to give parents and carers’ skills, knowledge and confidence to deliver first aid for common child-related injuries and illnesses.

Learn how to provide emergency first aid for baby head injury, baby allergic reaction, broken bones in babies and children, infant CPR, anaphylaxis in kids, and a range of other emergencies.

Important: If you are seeking a nationally recognised first aid credential for work purposes, please consider HLTAID012 Provide first aid in an education and care setting which we have available in One Day or Blended formats.  A Two-Day format is also available for private, group bookings only.

Target Audience:

Parents, expecting parents, grandparents, and anyone who works with or cares for children.
  • We kindly request that anyone under the age of 18 is accompanied by a paying parent or guardian. So that all students can get the most out of the learning experience and to allow you to fully engage with the course materials, we kindly ask that you make childcare arrangements for dependent children.  If securing childcare is challenging, please reach out to us prior to booking.

Learning Outcomes:

  • On completion of this training, students will receive a Certificate of Completion
  • Please be advised that this is a short course so not all topics are covered in depth.

Learning Methods:

A combination of practical activities, roles play and interaction with a first aid trainer (please wear comfortable and suitable clothing). There is no assessment for this training.
