MHFA-R-W - Mental Health First Aid Refresher (Webinar)

This webinar gives people who have previously completed a Mental Health First Aid course the opportunity to refresh their knowledge and skills. Participants are eligible for a refresher course if they accredited as a MHFAider within the last three years.

The refresher webinar teaches people real-life first aid skills for helping family‚ friends, co-workers or other people dealing with mental health problems.

A manual is used during the webinar as a resource to refresh knowledge and complete assessment.

Important information required for the delivery of the manual:

  • Book at least 2 weeks ahead to allow for delivery to the postal address chosen at time of booking.
  • The course price includes postage.

This course is intended for the public to gain an understanding of a first response approach to assisting an adult experiencing mental health concerns.  The course introduces students to a range of mental health concerns, and through a five-step action plan, students learn how to respond to someone who is experiencing mental health concerns.

Mental health matters in the workplace is a short, self-paced, interactive eLearning course.  It is designed to provide participants with an introductory overview of wellbeing and mental health support considerations in the workplace.

Psychological first aid is a support activity that helps people impacted by an emergency, disaster or traumatic event. It is a humane, supportive response to another person who is suffering and may need support.

HLTAID009V - Virtual Classroom - CPR

Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) provides knowledge and skills necessary to maintain breathing and circulation in an adult‚ child or infant following cardiac arrest or other emergency situation.

Content is based on Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines.

This course follows a blended learning approach where students will complete online theoretical learning before attending a virtual session where students can interact with a qualified trainer to demonstrate CPR.  The trainer will observe the student against the performance and knowledge evidence requirements for HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

A manikin kit is used during the virtual session with the trainer to demonstrate CPR.
 
Manikin kit important information:
  • Book at least 2 weeks ahead to allow for delivery to the postal address chosen at time of booking.
  • The course price includes postage and an 'Authority to Leave' is applied, please contact us to remove. Items will be left in a safe and accessible place, otherwise StarTrack will follow its process for undeliverable items.

Learn how to respond in an emergency by developing your basic life support skills.

This course follows a blended learning approach where students will complete self-paced online theoretical learning before attending a virtual session where students can interact with a qualified trainer to demonstrate practical skills.  The trainer will observe the student against the performance and knowledge evidence requirements for HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support.

A manikin kit is used during the virtual session with the trainer to demonstrate CPR.
