Mental Health Matters Aged Care

Mental Health Matters Aged Care

Australian Red Cross is committed to building safe, healthy and productive communities and workplaces through the provision of nationally recognised first aid and mental health training programs.
With this in mind, we've developed Mental Health Matters - an educational workshop that's customised to suit the Aged Care industry.

Aged care workers play an essential role in our society, but the demands of the work can be stressful.  This program focuses on self-care and supporting co-workers so Aged Care workers can continue to take the best possible care of others.

Introduction

Join this workshop to develop self-care skills, in addition to recognising when to support others.  Activities will support both personal wellbeing and early intervention to reduce the impact of unsupported mental health.

This workshop has been produced in collaboration with members of the Aged & Community Care Providers Association (ACCPA), the national association for providers of residential aged care, home and community care, retirement living and related services.
