ESAMA – Epilepsy, Seizure & Midazolam Awareness

This non-accredited course is designed for teachers, parents and guardians who want to learn more about epilepsy and seizures. The course also includes guidance for the administration of Intranasal Midazolam (INM).

Completion of this training in isolation does not confer authorisation or competency to administer midazolam or other emergency epilepsy medications.  Organisations must ensure that any medication-related practices are governed by applicable regulatory and industry frameworks, supported by individual care plans, appropriate clinical oversight, and established policies and procedures.

  • Upon completion of this course, participants will receive a Certificate of Participation.
  • This is a non-accredited course. It provides knowledge of midazolam administration but does not include formal practical assessment or confer competency to administer medication
