HLTAID013 - Provide First Aid in Remote or Isolated Site
Introduction:
Learn remote situations first aid for when medical attention or assistance is beyond the reach of timely medical assistance. This course covers the first aid skills required to attend to an injured or ill person for an extended period‚ due to isolated location, rough terrain or severe weather.
Develop the confidence to provide the appropriate first aid response, life support and management of the patient. Learn how to manage the incident and other first aiders in remote situations until medical assistance arrives.

Entry to this course requires recent (within 6 months) achievement of HLTAID011 Provide first aid.

Target Audience:
Remote area workers‚ travelers, tour guides, agricultural sector workers, remote and Aboriginal community residents. The course can be adapted for organisations or groups with specific remote requirements.
