This asthma emergency management course is designed to establish the essential skills and underpinning knowledge necessary to assist a person suffering an emergency asthma attack until the arrival of medical assistance.

The course will give you the skills to:
- recognise‚ treat and manage an asthma flare up
- correctly use and assist a person with their asthma medication
- develop risk minimisation plans, asthma policies and communication plans

Suitable to all members of the community
Learning Outcomes:
- On successful completion of this course, students will be issued with a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for 22556VIC Course in the Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies in the Workplace.
Learning Methods:
Students will be assessed through the demonstration of practical skills‚ participation in role plays, analysis of case studies, and with a written test.
