MHMAC - Mental Health Matters Aged Care  

Introduction:

Join this workshop to develop self-care skills, in addition to recognising when to support others.  Activities will support both personal wellbeing and early intervention to reduce the impact of unsupported mental health.

This workshop has been produced in collaboration with members of the Aged & Community Care Providers Association (ACCPA), the national association for providers of residential aged care, home and community care, retirement living and related services.

Target Audience:

This course is designed for individuals working or engaged within the Aged Care sector seeking to enhance self-care skills and recognising mental health concerns with coworkers.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand fundamentals for self-care
  • Know how to recognise mental health concerns
  • Use a simple mental health support action plan
  • Use tools to navigate difficult conversations
  • Receive a Certificate of Participation

Learning Methods:

There is no assessment process for this training but participants will be provided with a workbook to complete and encouraged to engage with interactive activities.
