HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid  

Introduction:

Join our immersive 2-day, in-person first aid training and learn how to respond effectively during an emergency event. Gain expertise on how to administer first aid and basic life support and how to manage casualties and incidents, along with life-saving CPR techniques. You’ll collaborate with your fellow first aiders in fun and practical role-plays while also learning how to recognise signs and symptoms of common illnesses and injuries.
 
Important: This course incorporates CPR training (HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation).

Duration:  2-day face-to-face classroom session.

Target Audience:

Ideal for workplace first aid training requirements, and anyone who wishes to learn first aid from a beginner level. Also suitable for those wishing to advance their career with first aid. There are no age limitations to this course. 
 

Learning Outcomes:

  • On successful completion of this course, students will be issued with a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment
  • Units of Competency: HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation, HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support, HLTAID011 Provide first aid

Learning Methods:

Demonstration of practical skills‚ participation in role-plays, analysis of case studies and a theory assessment to be completed on your smart device.

It is a requirement of this course that practical demonstration of CPR must be performed on the adult manikin on the floor.

Technology requirements:  Participants will need to bring their own smart device to complete their assessment.
