HLTAID011R - Provide First Aid Refresher
Introduction:
If you've completed the Provide First Aid course within the last three years and you want to update or renew your skills, the Refresher course is for you. In the course you'll revisit a comprehensive variety of first aid scenarios. You'll receive training in first aid responses and life support until medical assistance arrives, including management of casualties, the incident and other first aiders.
You'll learn about legal and other considerations when giving first aid, CPR, and first aid techniques for a range of illnesses and injuries common in the home, workplace or community.
Note: This course includes CPR (HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation).
Duration: 1-day face-to-face classroom session.

Target Audience:
While often used to meet workplace first aid training requirements, this course is also ideal for individuals who may need to administer first aid in various situations. Whether at home, in the community, or the workplace, it caters to a diverse range of participants.
Learning Outcomes:
- On successful completion of this course, students will be issued with a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment
- Units of Competency: HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation, HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support, HLTAID011 Provide first aid
Learning Methods:
Demonstration of practical skills‚ participation in role-plays, analysis of case studies and a theory assessment completed on your device.
Please note it is a requirement of this course that practical demonstration of CPR must be performed on the adult manikin on the floor.
